Privacy policy
Landline is a practice of Cocoon LLC. This policy describes how I collect, use, and protect your information when you visit hellolandline.com or work with me.
Effective date: July 15, 2026
I try to keep this simple, because I care about your privacy. I collect only what I need to provide your reading, I never sell your information, and your birth data never leaves my computer.
What I Collect
If you visit my website: hellolandline.com is hosted on Squarespace, which automatically collects standard visitor information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, and uses cookies for site functionality and analytics. See Squarespace's privacy policy for details on their practices.
If you contact me or join my email list: your name, email address, and anything you include in your message.
If you purchase a reading or subscribe to The Luminary: your name, email address, and payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe — I never see or store your card number. See Stripe's privacy policy for details on their practices.
If you become a client: your birth data (date, time, and place of birth), which you share with me directly via Signal, and the contents of our Signal messages.

To send my email newsletter, if you've signed up (you can unsubscribe anytime)
To understand how people use my website, in aggregate
Your Birth Data and AI
Your name and birth data are stored locally on my computer. They are never shared with any AI service or uploaded to the cloud by me.
Your birth chart is calculated by my own private software using a professional astronomical calculation engine.
I may use AI tools for research and analysis using only derived chart data (placements, aspects, transits, and similar), with your name and birth data removed.
Your messages to me, and anything you share with me personally, are never shared with AI.
Who I Share Information With
I never sell your personal information, and I don't share it with anyone for marketing purposes. Your information is handled by the service providers I use to run my practice:
Squarespace — website hosting and checkout
Stripe — payment processing
Signal — client communication (Signal messages are end-to-end encrypted)
Beyond these providers, I will only share your information if I believe you are going to harm yourself or another and sharing is necessary to keep everyone safe, if the law requires it, or if I have your advance permission.
How Long I Keep It
I keep client records (including birth data) while we're working together and for a reasonable period afterward, so returning clients don't need to start over. Payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask me at any time to:
Tell you what information I have about you
Correct it
Delete it (except records I'm legally required to keep, like payment records)

You can also unsubscribe from my email list using the link in any email, and manage cookies through your browser settings.
Children
My services are for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
If I make meaningful changes to this policy, I'll update the effective date above and post the new version on this page.
